# Weapon Mending

## Overview

<figure><img src="/files/fQCSlqyiAMzGPKHVK219" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

[Weapons](/items-and-assets/weapons.md) have two traits that require regular maintenance: **Sharpness** and **Durability**.\
As your Hero returns from battles, these traits will gradually wear down—reducing effectiveness or rendering the weapon unusable.

Restore both traits at **The Blacksmith** using **$HERO** to keep your weapons battle-ready and maximize reward potential.

> 💡Sharpness and Durability **does not decrease** after battling **Bosses**, but drops by **2** if the Hero **dies**

## Weapon Mending Mechanics

Maintaining your Hero’s weapons is essential for maximizing rewards. The Blacksmith lets you sharpen and repair weapons to keep them battle-ready and effective.

&#x20;Both Sharpening and Repairing cost scale with time and rarity, encouraging early and strategic mending.
